Real sector developments
The Central Bank collects statistical data on real sector developments from the authorized institutions: Monstat, the Employment Agency and the Ministry of Finance.
The most important real sector aggregate that is monitored is the gross domestic product, which represents the measure of a country’s economic activity. The Central Bank takes data on GDP from Monstat and the Ministry of Finance at quarterly and annual bases.
The Central Bank collects and monitors monthly data on industrial output, forestry, construction, transportation, consumer prices, producers` prices, earnings, employment, unemployment, and tourism (number of tourists and tourist overnights).
All the aforesaid data are taken from Monstat, except for those on unemployment which are taken from the Employment Agency of Montenegro.
